Undergraduate Program for Journalism

Ⅰ.Program Objective

This is a program that aims to teach students to be professional talents in journalism who can adapt themselves to the age of media convergence. Students are prepared for various sections of news production across multiple media platforms, including news reporting, writing, editing, commentary, photography, and media business management. They will also be competent for the jobs in the departments of publicity, project planning, product development or work as secretaries in the party and governmental enterprises and companies. For those who have interest in academic, the program also provides them with a firm grounding for further education, which will lead them to research and educational work related to news communication.

Ⅱ.Learning Outcome

The program requires students to learn about Marxist views of journalism, systematically master theories in news communication, and get familiar with the characteristics of different media. They are expected to demonstrate the ability to practice multimedia techniques and gain an understanding of principles and methods of media business and management. The knowledge system they aquire must be deep in foundation, wide in scope, strong both practicaly and theoretically.

I.Program Objectives

This program prepares students to be strategic communication specialists in advertising and Public Relations.this program is based on marketing and journalism communication, concentrating on marketing research, advertising planning and creative,and specialize in brand communication and public relations.

The students could be employed in abroad area, such as departments of advertising in media, AD Company,PR company,marketing research company,information consultant company,internet company,and other various sectors upon graduation.

II.Learning Outcomes

Students of this program are expected to gain systemetic knowledge of advertising and Public

X.Program Objectives

This program based on the theories and methods in communication and computer science, strengthens the study of internet communication. This program enables students to be a multi-skill talented person who owns both the solid knowledge of communication theory and the operational skills, to grasp the computer network technology, and to master the network communication environment and the online communication skill. The graduate can lead his/her career in the areas such as the news website, e-commerce website, the news publication, the telecommunication and mobile communication, investigation and consultant industry, the governmental information department as well as the enterprises, engaging in digital media design, data analysis and internet marketing.

This major in radio and television, journalism and communication and art as the foundation, with audio and video content production and marketing, visual culture creativity as the core, focusing on the audio-visual new media content, audio and visual communication and creative, spoken language communication, such as characteristic direction, from the dimension of the medium fusion culture audio-visual transmission with film and TV art, humanities connotation and digital skills and multi media, all the skills of new audio-visual transmission talents.
