Associate Professor, School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology，Director of the Electronic and Network PublishingInstitute, Head of the Public Opinion Monitoring and Knowledge Management Laboratory, concurrently serving as the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Electronic Network Editor Professional Committee of the Chinese Editorial Society, and the National Press and Publication Information Standardization Technology Committee member, member of the National University Publishing Specialty Teaching Steering Committee, vice chairman of the Science and Technology Communication Theory Committee of China Science and Technology News Association, national digital composite publishing project, and publishing integration development key laboratory experts. Served as the dean of the Department of Communication Studies. He went to New York University in the United States, the University of Queensland in Australia and the City University of Hong Kong for academic exchanges and visits.

Successively presided over and undertook research on Hubei Digital Publishing Development Planning, Changjiang Publishing and Media Group Digital Publishing Development Planning, Changjiang Daily Digital Development Planning, Development and Application of the Three Gorges Project NewsandPublicity Information Database, Chinese University Social Science Management and Research Database Construction, Based on Urban Society Risk control network public opinion monitoring and knowledge base research, knowledge management-based network public opinion monitoring and application research, Hubei Province’srural book house construction research, national science and technology communication strategy and science and technology image construction research in the Internet era, communication professionals based on interdisciplinary Research and practice of training mode, research on the development of rural science popularization in the information age, and other national, provincial and ministerial topics.

Successively published academic papers, won the National Electronic Publication Award (Multimedia "Western China Development", 2004), the first prize of Hubei Province University Teaching Achievement Award (2013) and other awards.
