Dai Zejian, Vice Dean of Graduate School, Lin Zhendong, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of the University, Wang Xuedong, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University, Zhan Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Journalism, Zhang Mingxin, President of the School of Journalism, Ming Yuzhu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and other leaders, as well as teachers and students representatives attended the conference.

Ming Yuzhuintroduced the overall situation of anti-epidemic work and social cognition practice in the School of Journalismand Information Communication.The introduction is divided into two parts: "teachers and students work together to fight the epidemic and show their responsibility" and "overcome difficulties and carry out social cognition practice with rich achievements" which told the story about during the epidemic period, more than 100 teachers and students of our school participated in the fight against the epidemic in different ways and contributed their youth strength,and reported the social practice work of our school focusing on poverty alleviation, helping to restart work and production, and telling the story of the epidemic war in Central China well.

Zhan Jian read out the "Decision on Commending Advanced Individuals from School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology for COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control".Based on the comprehensive evaluation and research decision of the School Council, 47 students were awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Individual in COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control in the School of Journalism".
